Calis Beach, Turkey

Located around the bay from the charming old town of Fethiye, just as its name suggests, Calis Beach is all about a long stretch of sand and shingle. Gently lapped by warm blue waters, this great beach is sprinkled with plenty of comfortable loungers just waiting for sun-hungry bodies. At the back of the beach is a long promenade rich in restaurants and gentle bars, whilst for the more energetic windsurfing and kite surfing makes the most of the cooling offshore breeze that seems to arrive every afternoon.

In the early evening, get your favourite barman to pour you a glass of something cold and take in the fabulous sunsets which are perhaps some of the best to be found anywhere along the coast.
